Shuttle Italy Airport was born from the idea of Roberto Benedettini, sole director of VIP Srl, who with entrepreneurial vision transformed the regular bus service into a strategic reality for mobility in Romagna.
“Our service has taken a major entrepreneurial and dimensional leap. Today, buses are enjoying a second youth: they are comfortable, fast, affordable, and reduce private car traffic. We allow you to depart from and arrive at your home. When we launched the service in 2016, we identified a mobility and connection need different from the past for travelers. The results show that shuttles can meet this demand. Moreover, the growth of our airport hubs has made them central nodes of the entire system and mobility infrastructure, with our buses forming an important link.”
Shuttle Italy Airport has also proven to be an example of positive and virtuous collaboration between public institutions (Region, Municipalities, Provinces, APT) and private enterprise. The administrations supported and facilitated the project in terms of permits and regulations, providing a useful service to their citizens and promoting tourist inflow to the territory. Travelers can connect with local taxi cooperatives that take them to their final destination (home, hotel, etc.). One of the most evident data points is the traffic peaks recorded during major Riviera events: the “Notte Rosa,” the “Longest New Year in the World,” trade fairs, and IEG congress events, which increase tourist flow to Rimini and its surroundings.
The international tourism vocation of Romagna and its territory is not just a general statement: approximately 45% of travelers coming from abroad through the Bologna hub reach Rimini and the Riviera, while 55% are local residents traveling to Guglielmo Marconi Airport.

Considering the strategic nature of the desk—both logistically and functionally—it provides an additional “plus” to the bus service, as well as to the Romagna area.
